It contains mature themes and a surprising lack of direct Bible quotes. “When the Heart Cries” by Cindy Woodsmall isn’t your mama’s Christian Amish romance book. Given the trigger warning I placed at the beginning of this review, you can already imagine how wild this is about to be. It is just I wanted a juicy book to digest with you. I wanted to write a really good book review for my Amish Romance review, which isn’t to say that my reviews suck. But I enjoy the occasional religious romance just to change the flavor. A good example of Christian romance that goes overboard on the Bible verses can be read here. I’m not a huge fan of Christian romance since it can be uh, heavy handed with the Bible verses. ![]() In fact, I am no stranger to the sub-genre. ![]() Trigger Warning: This review discusses rape. ![]()
